Newspaper and water then a dry newspaper to finish it

As an advocate for 5% white vinegar for cleaning everything, and spraying on anything, there is a rule for windows, as follows: Outdoors use vinegar and water (1/2 and 1/2) with old black/white newspaper as the "cloth" - that removes water marks. Indoors where there may be cooking residue, ammonia is required, so clean glass and windows in the cooking areas with a few drops of ammonia in a quart of warm water - using newspaper for the "cloth" is still a good bet.

Use a clean or new terry cloth dish towel and some hot water with windshield washer fluid, The towel will remove the dirt and the heat from the water will dry it quick go back with some clean paper towel and hit the edges. If you have allot of windows then get a squeegee like they use at the gas stations and a 5 gal. bucket.

Vinegar and Water, wiped with newspaper works really well. Th newsprint acts like a polish and means you dont have to clean as often!

Outside for high windows I would use 1 tablespoon of tsp (tri sodium phosphate to 1 gallon of water. Pre-rinse the windows with a hose, scrub on tsp solution and rinse really well. No Squegee is needed.

Mix white vinegar & water, equal parts, in a spray bottle. Use balled up newspaper to wipe off. Windows will be streak free and sparkle!

Newspaper scratches windows. Vinegar or rubbing alcohol and paper towels.

Or if there is not much window area, I absolutely love window wipes, they are streak free every time I sue them.

I use ammonia mixed in water and clean with old soft towels. One to clean and one to dry. Never heard of vinegar before and Windex is useless on windows.
