I would charge her 1/3 the rent and 1/3 the utilities! She'll have full run of the house and one of the bedrooms. You will have to figure out the utility charge...take into account winter heating expenses. Cheers! jr

You will have to find out what the utilities are before you can give her a flat rate. If your kids are small, I'd say a third of the total bills, if your kids are older, then a fourth.

Are you renting or buying the house?

If you are renting the house, I would say that 1/3 of the rent plus a flat rate of $75 to help pay the utilities.

If you are buying the house, your payments would depend on how much you have put down on the house. You would have to consider what other apartments or homes are renting for in the area. good luck.

A third of the rent, call the utilities and find out what the average bill was and a third of that as well.
