I see several different formulations of fertilizer at store, but what is best to make grass grow. I have sprayed my yard with weed killer and now all that is left is bermuda grass,, I'd like to get it to spread and fill in the bare spots this summer. A guy at the store said he uses 10-20-10 on his garden,, but is this best for grass too?

We had an early and hot spring (several weeks over 85). It was beautiful, all the leaves and flowers bloomed, even the hydrangeas grew unseasonally large. Then we had a "dogwood winter", where the temperature dropped during Easter Week to below 27 degrees - Although we covered everything with plastic, it killed all the new leaves (even on the large Poplar trees). Will our established plants (trees and ornamental shrubs) re-leaf and survive? What about the perrenials? I am assuming the annuals will die? Is there anything I can do for them now that it warm again?

Help! I keep finding tiny holes in the front of my cotton shirts. I don't understand how this is possible. I have noticed that this only happens to my cotton shirts.

Before you tell me that moths are eating my shirts, you need to know one important fact. The holes keep appearing in the same area of each shirt! In other words, all of these holes on all of these shirts appear on the front of the shirt just below my belly button. How is this possible?

I can't figure this out. If it's moths, how do they know to eat the same area of the shirt? Is my belly button emitting some kind of chemical that attracts them? I thought moths only eat wool.

Maybe it's from my seatbelt. If so, what can I do to stop this?

Maybe I'm leaning up against something that has been treated with a cotton-eating chemical. Could it be from my hot tub, from the bathroom sink, from the washing machine?

Why only shirts? Why only cotton? Why under my belly button?

My husband tells me that you cannot plant seeds and expect fruit or vegetables from store bought produce. He says that they are some kind of hybrid seed that will not produce. Is this true?

My garbage disposal doesn't work. I don't think it even whirrs. It just sits there. I don't think anything is stuck in it -- I've put my hand down the drain a million times and felt around.

I had a landlord once that came and flicked a switch on my old disposal and boom! Fixed! I don't see a "reset button" on my garbage disposal. If there isn't one, how do I "reset" it?

If the reset option doesn't work, I'll call the landlord -- I'm not gonna try to take it apart or anything. But I'm smuggling a cat, so I'd rather try to fix it myself if it is easy?

I have a large bean going through the middle of my basement ceiling. It is a 10 x 10 or 12 x 12, I don't remember exactly. It is supported in the middle by a column that is 10 x 10, and of course on each outside wall. I would like to make a wall along the bean and put in a door, but the beam is a little too low for a standard door frame. I was thinking if I supported the beam on each side of the door frame with another 10 x 10 column, then it would be okay to notch out the beam so that it would allow for a full sized door. Can anyone help me with the codes or regulations regarding this? Or does anyone know where I can get code information?

FYI: I live in Washington State

I live in chicago and all of my sponges smell of mold for no good reason. I treat them the same way I have treated all the others, cleaning, washing, bleaching. Nothing seems to help. Any ideas? I have tap water. I am at a loss. Could it just be a bad batch of sponges as they all came in the same 8 pack.
