I beg to differ with the gentleman that said John Deere mowers sold at Home Depot are made just for Home Depot. They are the same mowers coming off the assembly line that go to Deere dealerships and Lowes and any other store that sells them. They are not made any differently. A customer will have a wider selection of products at a Deere dealership of course. As for Home Depot service of your purchase of a Deere product = it's done by a John Deere Authorized Dealer. for home use Dixon snapper for commerical use or if you have a big lawn the top of the line is Steiner,,Ferris or john Deere from a john Deere dealer. all the john Deere's they sell at home depot are made just for them do not be fooled go to any J D dealer they will show you the difference they are made better you get what you pay for also keep in mind service DYI stores not set up for good service i would by from a reputable dealer

the Dixon ZTR, is the original. john deere, is a good product as is, Dixie Chopper but, I tend to stick with the original. if there are any more advancements, they tend to be the first to implement them.
