I work at a large sports arena in Calif. We want to spread lime on top of the soil in certain areas where homeless people urinate (and sleep). I'm wondering if the lime will have any affect on plants and shrubs.

Since Spring came and the weather is warmer, my critters have returned. I have a round bug that rolls up when touched. They invade my kitchen and dining area every year. I know I can spray with regular bug killer but I would like to know if someone can help me with the name of this bug and any special product I can use to get rid of them. Thanks so much for your help.

After 3 different professionals came into my home, I am still confused. Starting December-ish, our water pressure seemed to be getting low. I finally realized this and called our local water company. I was able to rule that out completely but in doing so, I found out that there was a white particulate clogging up all my in-home faucets that had filters. It seems real hard but can be crumbled if smashed between fingers. This is where I start to confused. One plumber said it was a broken dip tube, another is saying it's hardened calcium and/or sediments, and the last said that it's just a product of having hard water. We definitely don't have hard water for sure and further, none of my neighbors are having this problem- I asked as many as I could for the last month. What do you think this is? Also, once the faucets are unclogged- I get great flow again but not so much on the hot side. Lastly, I have a 10 year old Rheem water heater. Please help- let me know if you need more info!

My house faces North, and I have a strip of a garden bed that runs along the front of my home and it's in the shade all day long. There are Hostas there now and they grow very well, and I like that they come back every year, but I find them boring! Any ideas?

It has become increasingly discusting around the garbage bin. Tenants are letting small children take the garbage out and leave it on the ground near the bin. The garbagcompany will not pick up anything from the ground. Is the landlord responsable for picking this mess up?

This hood is supported by 4 legs that rise about 2-2.5 inches. What is the purpose for the opening at the bottdm (of the hood)that the legs create?

I'm having trouble fitteng a new tank and was wondering if I could cut down the legs so the hood sits directly over the vent on top of the tank.

Thanks!!

I have 2 bed bases here (on paper)

1.
$89.00 and slatted bed base.

2.
$50.00 without slatted bad base.

I want the one without the bed base because its cheaper but this wont wreck the bed or mattress or even make it harder will it??

Extra.. Is a slatted bed base the same and the slatts that holds the mattress??

I'm about top redecorate my mothers kitchen for her and it is a very large room. The problem is it has wall paper on all the walls. For most of the other rooms I used a wall paper steamer, but this room is so big and it would take forever to steam all of it off. if that's what i HAVE to do, so be it. But I wanted to know if there was an easier way to cover up or peel off wall paper.

By the way... I know you can judt "pain over" it, but that's tacky. Are there other ways of going about it?

Thank you!

I'm painting a set of table and chairs. They were previously painted green and I am painting black over the green. Do I need to use any kind of primer? Is it helpful to sand them first? Should I use some kind of top coat? Laquer? I've never really painted anything before, as you might have guessed.
