i've got a very small pond, i got it a few years ago. to get it started i took a jarfull of water from my friends pond, which is alot bigger. my pond now has frogs, plants and a newt, however, i have not seen the frogs for awhile but there was fogspawn, this never hatched. the pond is thick with little red bugs. theres always been a few, but now theres loads, i was wondering if they might have eaten the frogspawn, and are the reason that the frogs left?

Does anyone know of a sprinkler system type that can attach weed killer to it? I usually use the Ortho weed killer that attaches to the hose but the large area is really hard to cover by hand. Its a gigantic backyard I'm trying to tame.

basically i'm fitting a new toilet to an internal wall which is about 12ft from the external wall of the house. Is there a required angle to which the waste outlet from the toilet must be before it reaches the soil pipe to ensure when flushing all waste flows out of the house to the soil pipe.

Each year we get more and more rabbits in the neighborhood eating all the beautiful flowers my neighbors and I plant. Unfortunately, this year, we have also found some dead baby rabbits that my dog must have killed. We have a fenced in backyard and just let our dog out. I have to let the dog out as I don't have time to walk her, but it's so sad about the babies. What can I do?

I have 22 large planters that I have to fill for my office this year. In the past I have shopped local nurseries but am always disappointed with the selection and availability. I would like to single source everything online this year and need some recommendations for good online sources. I don't have time or space for seed starting so I would like to know where I can preorder some decent quality container annuals (flowers, foliage and grasses) without breaking the bank. - Thanks.

I can't get hold of Peat moss, but have found Perlite and wondering if mixing them would be the same, or am i better off just using Vermiculite on its own to sow seeds? It's for a science project and I will be adding differing concentrations of fertiliser to each pot and measuring results

Can you recommend a product that will kill the weeds and moss and promote healthy grass growth? I want something that will not harm worms or other wildlife thanks.

Id like it to be relaxing, but the brown on the comforter are somewhat subtle and the red curtains are REALLY red. I'd be more willing to part with the comforter than the curtains. The furniture isnt a factor because I'm going to repaint it to match once I choose a wall color. I'm open as to a theme. I'd like it to be relaxing. If its a little dramatic thats okay too. I'm awful with choosing wall color. Too indecisive. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a table made of wicker that previously had glass in it (it broke). So i was thinking of getting a sheet of plywood 33 * 33 inches, but i can't cut it and i hear its kind of expensive for my situation. BASICALLY, I need a flat surface 33*33 inches, free or dirt cheap. Any ideas?

I have two brothers that regularly go into my bedroom and steal my stuff, read my personal items or just generally turn the place upside down. they have nicked god knows how much crud off of me and even invite their friends in to have a look aswell.
i want to find a lock that is near as dammit unpickable, so I can keep them out of there adn keep my stuff safe. I would buy a normal lock. But the challenge of unpicking it would only make it more interesting to go into my bedroom.
If no one has any suggestions for locks, can anyone here be willing to carry out a planned double murder, that wouldnt lead back to me (joke)

The exhaust fan is always ceiling-mounted and pulls the stink right up past your nose thus limiting your reading time. Some one should invent something like the exhaust they have on Jenn-aire stoves, except for a bathroom...just a question...all the other world crisis are solved...

Years ago I contacted a handyman to do some repairs on a crumbling chimney. He promised he'd be over at 9 AM. I waited and waited and he finally came at 11:30 AM with a story that he had to go and look at some other jobs. He inspected the chimney to determine what materials he would need and said he'd be back in an hour. It was more like 3 hours. He dumped 20 bags of Quickrete in my back yard (this is to repair a few rows of bricks), then announced that he had to go look at some more jobs, then he had to pick up his helper and he'd return shortly. Shortly was about 2 more hours. Now it's getting dark and he shows up with a 15 year old kid. By now I had had it with this guy and said I decided I didn't want him to do the job. He became obstreperous and threatened to have me placed on a contractor's blacklist. Now it seems that I can't get anyone to work for me and the house is falling apart. IS there any such thing as a contractor's blacklist? How could I have handled it better?

I live in a high-rise, and the building moves a lot in the wind. Just mudding results in cracks, but I am worried that taping will create a bump in the wall.

We live on a very busy road in France where diesel fuel is the norm. I would like to place some large plants on our balcony to help absorb sound and help clean the air. Can plants actually filter pollutants from the air, or do they just extract CO2?

I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should.

Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
