I have two brothers that regularly go into my bedroom and steal my stuff, read my personal items or just generally turn the place upside down. they have nicked god knows how much crud off of me and even invite their friends in to have a look aswell.
i want to find a lock that is near as dammit unpickable, so I can keep them out of there adn keep my stuff safe. I would buy a normal lock. But the challenge of unpicking it would only make it more interesting to go into my bedroom.
If no one has any suggestions for locks, can anyone here be willing to carry out a planned double murder, that wouldnt lead back to me (joke)

You can spend all the money you want on a lock it is only as strong as the door frame. I doubt that your brothers are "picking" the lock they are probaly using the old butter knife or id card to get it open. What you need is a metal sleeve that fastens around the door , it closes the gap so that nothing can get in there. Then just buy a reglular lock and key.

It does depend on how resourceful your brothers are. A lock is only as good as the door its on and if they are really determined they will find a way in. That said, you could get one of those combination locks, you have to input a code before the latch will turn. Alternativly if you have a bit of cash to splash you should consider investing in some biometrics!

You get a little lock that fits inside your normal lock and then they won't be able to get in. Try your local hardware store.
It's a long thin lock which twist sideways when you lock it and you can't pull it out unless you unlock it, so do not loose its key.

You might also consider setting up a webcam, and if they start silly business..... publish the movie on the web.... Could be fun. Then, send them a link to the movie by email.....and all thier friends!!!!! Divine retribution!!!1

5 lever lock should do the trick but that might just give them a peep hole so I'd just go for a yale lock like this
