Is this really a question? Of course you want color, white on white is alright but a great bold color with the white trim is fabulous. Our walls are different colors in each room, bedroom coffee, living room is a gold sand, dining room is Cayenne pepper, kitchen is forest green, have fun with color. We also painted the ceilings a differnt color, in some rooms they are a butter cream it looks really good, I have friend who painted their trim black, not my thing but looks really good. Don't be afraid adventure into color.

This is the best advice I've recieved for using color in the home: Pick a neutral color (I use khaki) for all comon areas like entryway, stairways and hallways then use color on the adjoining rooms. You don't have to use the same colors for each room but it helps to keep the same level of color saturation. This will harmonize the space and make everything cohesive.

It is going to depend on what you are going to have in the room and what colors go good with the furniture. Color is always a plus because you can use so many of them and be creative, but then as it is said white goes with anything. If you have children you want to be careful with white because it does show dirt.

there are so many shades of "white", that it is like using color - only more subtle. i prefer to use variations of white, such as sand, navajo, swiss, etc. when you walk in my front door, you can see through various doorways all the way to the back of my house. the living room you stand in is navajo, the kitchen is swiss, and the faroff family room is sand. the gradient whites are reminiscent of looking at a shell or through a column of white. i prefer whites because i can go crazy with color in the furniture and accessories.

White walls make me think of mental hospitals, so I would definitely prefer color, please! :]
White trim or accents are okay--white is a very clean color, which is good. But too much makes me feel like a crazy person.
