Best water heater to buy?

Looking for a natural gas 40 gallon water heater ... have heard many problems with Whirlpool's.... anyone have recommendations? Also looking at GE, Kenmore.

Just get one that is self cleaning, so you don't have to frain it every year. I got one at home depot, it was the best one they had. That has been almost 20 years ago and I haven't had a problem yet. Good luck

funny you ask, i have a 1989 richmond miser that just started leaking, so i guess after 18 years its leaking and time to change it...im just going to get the cheapest thing from lowes, home depot or sears
