I have 2 bed bases here (on paper)

1.
$89.00 and slatted bed base.

2.
$50.00 without slatted bad base.

I want the one without the bed base because its cheaper but this wont wreck the bed or mattress or even make it harder will it??

Extra.. Is a slatted bed base the same and the slatts that holds the mattress??

Basically you have a frame, like a picture frame that holds the mattress and box spring up off the floor.
I believe that in the past there was a discrepancy in
lengths and widths of mattresses/boxes, so slats were added to make sure a bed did not collapse.
As long as your headboard and /or foot board are new, you can use a plain frame, no slats.

The one without the slats, uses the side rails to support the box springs. The one with the slats, has 4-5 slats that support the rails. So either way get the one you want. Both will do the job. Good luck

How much do you weigh and how much "bouncing" do you do on the bed? Slats are much more supportive for the mattress and less likely to jar out but definitely NOT necessary for most folks.
