checking for planting flowers

I haven't actually bought the tree yet. I'm thinking about buying one of the following trees: a) autumn cherry; b) white dogwood; c) red dogwood; d) okame flowering cherry; e) red rocket crape myrtle; or f) scarlet red maple. I want to plant it near the back rear corner of my house. How far away should I plant the tree so there won't be any foundation problems or the tree looking funky because the corner of the house is shaping it?

I know I can propagate it from cuttings, but I prefer seeds. Does anyone know how can I manually pollinate it, or anything about its biology that might help? I have been trying insects, but so far no luck

when can I find out what the last frost date is? it is defiance ohio. every seed pack says to plant after the last frost date.... but how can I find out when this is?

I also need to figure this out because someof the seeds I want to start indoors, but need to know the last frost date so I know when to start them ahead of time so they are not all leggy when I move them out.

Why are some detergent sooo much more expensive than others? It seems Tide continues to get away (in my experience) with almost doubling it's prices compared to generic brands?? I have a longish narrow hallway and have just stripped it of its hideous polystyrene ceiling tiles and yellow woodchip wallpaper. Now want to lay some wood flooring and paint it to create illusion of a light, welcoming space. Very little natural light, although a bit brighter at the far end as light comes through a glass panelled door from my west facing sitting room. Any ideas gratefully received.

I have a pair of black dance/aerobics tights in a box with a bunch of other stuff from my last move, most of which I tossed this past weekend. But these tights appeared to be in good condition except for the mildew odor. So I took a chance and washed them in Arm & Hammer detergent with both oxyclean and colorfast bleach. The tights came out in good condition, except still with a distinct mildew odor. What should I do other than give up and toss them? These are good quality tights, and I know I should have taken better care of them in the first place, but...

just bought a new to use house in nov. it looked like swamp mud water so i drained it bought some poxy paint i found on the inet. it looks good its a fiberglass pool..... needless to say i now found out not to empthy the darn thing too late,,, so now what do i do. i knnow i need to add the water but i know nothing about the pump/motor. and i dident want to fill the pool becouse the is a drain at the bottom i may need to do something with Please help........
