use some of your make up remover pads , or your own nail varnish remover will shift the stain . also cheep with results use your own hair shampoo to wash the carpet ,it works just as good .lay a towel with a heavy object on top this will help soak up any water from the underside of your carpet

get some Vanish moose carpet stain remover and let it soak into it for a while, but dont scrub or you will rub the stain in, just blot with kitchen roll till all the moisture is removed, good luck, eventually it should come out, keep trying.

If it's eye makeup - which hopefully it is, since it's black - I've always used eye makeup remover (other things may smear it instead of lift it) . Chanel has the best eye makeup remover I've ever used and I am a makeup junkie. But if you don't normally wear makeup and won't use the whole bottle, you may want to try something cheaper first.
