I've started going to the local Farmer's Market lately. I've been careful in selection of my fresh fruit and veggies, but I've noticed that no matter how perfect what I pick is, within a day or two, I notice mold growth (especially on my blackberries). I thoroughly wash everything after I bring it home and before eating, but this is getting annoying, to say the least. Any advice?

We have stripped and polished floorboards in our house but for practical reasons (warmth, noise and a baby on the way) I would like to lay a carpet but wondered if there is a way to do this without ruining the floorboards so when we move we can just lift the carpet? Because of the size of the room the carpet would also have to be laid in three sections. Hope someone can help!

Hi All,

We have a combi boiler and about 10 radiators but 3 of them ar eluke warm or cold.

We have tried to bleed the radiator but water comes out of all of them instantly but three are cold.

One strange thing that may be the cause is that when we _completely_ remove the bleed key from the radiator we only get a trickle.

All ideas welcome.

Cheers

Chris

Here is the deal... I run the dishwasher and it goes through the wash cycle just fine. When it comes to drying the dishes the washer freeezes up. The lights on both the heat dry and sanitze dry options start blinking and nothing happens. At first I thought this was normal but the lights never stop blinking, when the washer is opened there is still water at the bottom and the dishes are wet. To me it is like the washer never "kicks" into the next phase. By the way the washer is less than 1 month old and Sears is charging $65 to come out and insepct. As you can imagine I feel the dishwasher should work correctly when it is brand new...
Thanks in advance for any help...

I moved my piano and one of the wheel didn't turn and left a long scratch on the floor, not deep but visible. The floor is made of solid bamboo, not laminate. It's semi-gloss.

We have hardwood floors. The top step is approximately 3' long by 1' wide. It recently split and has a 2' long crack running lengthwise. Are there any quick fixes for this or will the board need to be replaced? Our floors are really old and it may be difficult to match the wood. If we could fix this before it gets worse (the entire board splitting and becoming a hazard), that would be great! Any ideas are appreciated.

We are building a new house. The cabinets are a honey spice color and the countertops are a dark spotty granite. I have no idea what color to make the floor, either. The kitchen is very big so dark colors can be an option.
