Hi All,

We have a combi boiler and about 10 radiators but 3 of them ar eluke warm or cold.

We have tried to bleed the radiator but water comes out of all of them instantly but three are cold.

One strange thing that may be the cause is that when we _completely_ remove the bleed key from the radiator we only get a trickle.

All ideas welcome.

Cheers

Chris

Similar problem happened to one of my radiators. Spoke to a friendly plummer who suggested I try turning off a couple of the other radiators in the system, to see if the increased water flow would force any sludge or whatever through the cold radiator. This worked fine for me, and I now have been able to turn the other radiators back on again without losing heat from the formerly cold one. Worth trying this first before you go for more complicated measures like draining and flushing.

after you bleed the radiators remember to top up the water pressure, there should be a valve near the combi boiled, open it until the pressure reaches the green ,usually between 1 and 2 bar on the gauge

If they needed bleeding, air would burst out hissing. When water starts to trickle all the air is out.
Maybe the room temp where the cold radiators are, is at the temp set by the system, so they don't need to come on. If they never become hot at all, you should get a plumber in or the installer, or the gas board.

sounds like your regulators are bad on your radiators. When you bleed the radiators did you start the farthest away from the boiler and work back. Do you have a recirculating pump on the boiler. You may need to call a qualified plumber on this one.

Is there more than one pump? or perhaps a heat control valve stuck in closed position...you should hear the valves work when raising and lowering temperature on thermostat

Your pressure is correct at 1 to 1.5 bars , if it's hot at the bottom and no air in it it's probably your thermo valve stopping the flow , or your pump needs turning up a notch

Have you checked the level of water in your tank and check to see if your ball valve is not jammed that could prevent your water going into your tank

being a plumber I would suspect that you have a zone valve that is not working. If it is geting power it could be stuck or broken in which case you should call a plumber.
