Firstly, post a sign on your mailbox that says post no publicity circulars.
Secondly, you can't really stop people from sending you junk but if you are on their list, you can contact them directly by fax, email etc and tell them to take you off their list.
Thirdly, get an unlisted phone number as these lists are sold to many companies and these companies use these lists and the phone book to send out junk.
Now, if you want to give them a taste of their own medecine, here's what I do when I receive junk mail with return postage paid envelopes:
I take anything I can find on hand, including the stuff they sent me and send it back on their tab....! It's fun and I would just love to see the face on those people who open it and find my old grocery list, used kleenex, advertisements for other stuff that I have received, etc. Be creative....! If we all did this, perhaps we would have less unsolicited mail!

Snail mail revenge
Yep, snail junk mail is annoying. Especially if the envelope looks like a bill. It robs me of time that I could do something else.
If there is a return envelope with postage paid ... I take all the stuff from that envelope, with the exception of what has my name on, and mail it back to them.
Let one of their employees waste time dealing with the envelope full of their own crap.
The company does not have to pay postage until the envelope is mailed.
It won't have a big impact unless everyone does it ... but I do get a bit of satisfaction from it.

You and one hundred million of something persons. some agencies have become thousands and thousands of those a week. You did no longer help via putting your e mail handle interior the message for cyber web crawlers to discover. Outlook does a touch stable activity of placing apart unsolicited mail and my mail server (no longer Yahoo) additionally marks it up. you may desire to shift to between the centers that brags approximately placing apart unsolicited mail. On Yahoo Mail, in case you mark entries as unsolicited mail, Yahoo is meant to apply the information to block further alternatives.

Visit the website of the company that sends it to you...if it is a credit card company...email their customer service department. They have to legally remove you if you ask. It is easier to stop snail mail spam than email spam.

If you are talking purely about credit card offers if you open them up and look a little there is a phone number for opting out and you will no longer receive them.
