Here is the deal... I run the dishwasher and it goes through the wash cycle just fine. When it comes to drying the dishes the washer freeezes up. The lights on both the heat dry and sanitze dry options start blinking and nothing happens. At first I thought this was normal but the lights never stop blinking, when the washer is opened there is still water at the bottom and the dishes are wet. To me it is like the washer never "kicks" into the next phase. By the way the washer is less than 1 month old and Sears is charging $65 to come out and insepct. As you can imagine I feel the dishwasher should work correctly when it is brand new...
Thanks in advance for any help...

If your dishwasher is only one month old they should not charge you anything for coming out. Look in your use and care book for the warranty. The only reason that they would have to charge you for coming out would be if your problem is not because the machine is defective but something wrong with the way you are using the machine. The reason someone told you that you will be billed the $65 is to cover their butt so if there is nothing wrong with the dishwasher you cannot complain or say that you didn't know there would be a charge. They feel it is better to make you think you will be billed and then you will be so elated that it is covered by the warranty after all.

I can't blame you for being upset about a 30 day old unit not working properly. Sears will make good on the warranty and get you back in business.

Do not attempt to fix the unit on your own though or you will void the warranty and end up paying the $65 after all.

The timer has stalled out and stopped the cycle from completion.
I dont have handy a manual on that particlar model, but can you just turn the knob ever so slightly in the forward direction to nudge the timer slightly.

You can remove that cover plate from the front and you will see the timer in there. Its a plug in device easily replaced and you can really do it yourself if need be. You get parts on line and they ship same day.

funny, one time when i was younger my imaginary evil twin convinced me to take a shower in the dishwasher and I did but I noticed a little visiting Garden Gnome in there sampling on all the left over food. We shared a meal that day. The glue thing though, we never got to that yet. I'll have to shower in your dishwasher some day, will you let me??

Sounds like a bad timer. Sears should cover it under warranty (Bob Villa brags about). Make them fix and pay for it. Good luck.
