I thought that I had picked the perfect color to paint on the bottom have of my walls in my dining room. A light Moss Green color. After painting it though, I am wondering if I should have of left it alone. Anybody's opinion? Does it always take a little time to get used to a room after you paint it a different color? Need anybody's input here. Thanks

I just moved into an older country home with those "wood panel" walls, my main concern is the livingroom because I am from the city and my decor resembles something you would see in a Pier One Imports catalog (earthtones), pretty modern and high style looking ~ NOT COUNTRY at all.

What can I do to mask these walls or how to enjoy them and what would you suggest to make these walls liveable?

Can I hang artwork?

I have seeds for Osmanthus fragrans, and I see that they can take a *very* long time to germinate... years, in fact. Has anyone done this? Is there something I can do to speed the process? I'm willing to experiment: boiling water, hydrogen peroxide, the old nick&soak, "smoke treatment," whatever. I can't find any information about this.
Thanks.

I live in Oklahoma, and I don't want to miss the planting season coming up... I want to plant anything and everything I possibly have room for!
Please tell me what to do if you are a successful gardener - I don't have time for visits to the local gardening classes- had a baby, but still want to plant all I can successfully.

I'd like to get hardwood floors through-out my house. I already have them by the entry way. The problem is I have a golden retriever who's nails scratch the wood and it looks old (even though the house is only a year old). Would Bamboo floors be worth the extra cost? Do they hold up to the wear and tear of a very active family with pets?

I'm looking to buy some new furniture. I went on Value City Furniture's website and loved a lot of their collections! My husband and I are looking for a great living room collection [sleeper-sofa, loveseat, and chair] for a decent price. Unfortunately, Value City Furniture is only located be in the North East. We live in the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans.

We are looking for quality furniture at a reasonable price. Something just doesn't seem right when you have to spend 2,000+ on these items--per piece. Do you know of any great furniture stores in a reasonable price range? Where do you purchase your furniture?

I would like to create a closet organizer. I know things are cheaper if you do-it-yourself but I'm not that handy. Would it be easier to call a company like California Closets? Can anyone suggest ideas? Thx!

caramel colored leather couches in there with it or is that too much of a casual look? I'm trying to combine my penchant for traditional decorating with a mountain rustic (think Park City --NOT COUNTRY) arcitecture of the house.
