what is aluminum going for these days??

I was going to sell the aluminum from my house to pay for the new vinyl siding.

The scrap yard in Michigan is paying about .50 cents a pound for aluminum siding. But the main reason, I would say, for bothering to bring it to a scrap yard at all isn't for the couple of bucks you'll make, but because it will get recycled instead of sitting in a landfill.

In Houston, TX. aluminum is selling for .55 cents per pound.
