I have painted a lot of rooms for people and I am of the opinion that if you leave it alone, and don't think about it. If after a week you are still bothered by it, repaint it. Otherwise it was a good choice.

If you have to get used to the color, then it's not the right color. Or it may be the right color in the wrong light. And the decor, tiles, trim, all of that plays a role. Try taking a color swatch of something and take pictures of it in all different types of lighting. You'd be amazed at how much light can change a certain color to a completely different color. Look at all your surroundings. Other things may need to change for that color to be the right color. Generally if you put a color on the wall and you don't really like the outcome, you need to get a new color or change your surroundings to compliment your color choice.

add some colour at the top with that same colour, by painting picture frames, changing fabric. maybe it's not the moss green, what colour do you have at the top. maybe that's what setting you off from it... try buying a darker moss green and choose one wall to paint it all that same colour. Painting is the fun part, if you mess up you usually can cover it up. :) take a picture of you dinning room from 2 different angles and take in to a paint store that deals with alot of decorations and ask their opinion...it helps as well. Best of luck to you, and have fun with it!!!

Give it a lot of thought and at least 2 months. Big project and you may end up liking.
I just went through this with bedroom, and I quite like it now. However, while in the paint store trying to decide on a colour nearly drove me up the wall and around the corner.

Yes it does! I painted my office peach and it took me a month to get used to it. Now I love it! Give it time. If you hate it you can change it. I suggest talking to a paint specialist who can be of a great help to you,

if, when you walk back into the room after after being out for a while, and it doesnt feel right, then youve chosen the wrong colour or shade. Yes you will get used to it, but I would have to repaint it.
