I thought about going down to the lake to get some water to put in the toliet but it is dark down there and there could be snakes and stuff down there. Any suggestions?

I live in a five story apartment building on the top floor, the building is about 50 years old.

My water pressure has been very weak since I've moved in. However, my neighbor'r pressure is just fine.

Management is great, and has come up to check it out many times. It works somewhat better after they've tinkered with it, but it just goes right back to being very weak shortly after.

Some days it comes out as just a trinkle. I've had to use my friend's shower quite a few times when this happens.

I don't know what the management is actually doing when they "fix" it... But what could the problem be? All my faucets work!

Is there anything I can do? And what should I ask the building management to do? It needs to be fixed again.

I have a couple questions about design styles:

1)What style is pottery barn considered?

2)What is the difference between comtemporary and modern design?

Any type of clarification would be great!

Will I need to remove all the caulk? I've already put on a ton of coats! Yes, red and I failed to use a gray primer so many coats are needed. Using Latex and it's peeling up around the caulk. Should I sand it down, put on new caulk and then prime or just leave the caulk and go over it with new caulk...paintable kind??? Help please!

Recently had guests move out of the spare bedroom, but they left it horribly messy. Decided the best way to rid of the smell would be to pull the carpet. Once pulled I noticed two black stains in the area that they would set their drinks and ash trays at. Is there a way to get rid of or lighten the stain without ruining the flooring?

Hey, do you think it would be a good thing to have a monthly handyman party where an experienced handyman would demonstrate and teach home repairs and maintenance?

This would be like a tupperware party, and door prizes would be passed out, a small fee would cover expenses, and there could be wine and cheese, or snacks?

My new automatic dishwasher is now doing a lousy job cleaning the dishes. Something must be clogged somewhere but it doesn't easily dissassemble to check like my old one did. What should I be looking for to figure out what is wrong?

My friend borrowed my pillows and then returned them smelling like cigarette smoke. What's the cheapest way to clean out the awful odor?? I mean, I sleep on these pillows.. plus they're decorative so it's not like I can replace them. Two of the pillows I can take out of their covers, the other two are stuffed without entry. How do I wash the actual pillows? I know how to wash the covers....

At stores such as Wal-mart or Lowe's and the like you will find all different kinds of electric space heaters they all are 1500w at the max, some are more expensive than others, some are bigger but all are 1500w. Does one put out more heat than others?

but one major problem. The inspector said the water main into the house was ready to blow--big problem. The real estate broker went back to the seller(they have already moved to Maine) and they said they would fix the pipe. The man hired to fix the pipe went to get a permit and a person from the dept of sewer and water came out and said the pipe was fine (the house was built in 1935 and the pipe is original). So now the seller does not want to pay. Did anyone ever hear of such a thing? Why would the town get involved when the agreement was made to fix the water main? What should he do? Thanks
