I thought about going down to the lake to get some water to put in the toliet but it is dark down there and there could be snakes and stuff down there. Any suggestions?

Some of my friends "dry camp" in their trailers in the winter to avoid freezing, and what they do for #2 is put a plastic trash bag in the toilet and go, then close the bag and throw it away.

You also need to get some marine anti freeze pretty soon and put it in your black and grey water tanks just for extra safety. And you didn't say where your water pipes are, but you should unhook or insulate or use heat tape if you're hooked up to a water source. If you are using your stored water and your stuff inside the trailer froze, you need to figure out how to keep the area where they are a bit warmer.

And I agree with the other two anwerers that if it's cold enough to freeze your pipes, then there are no snakes out.

Darling, some camper you are! Living on a lake that is frozen and being afraid of snakes? Snakes are reptiles and do not move when temps drop below freesing, they go into deep hibernations and not likely to be hungry enough to bite the bottom of your touche, unless they are a tad more warm than freezing. So quit yer whining and get to it......get that log jam working and head for the nearest bucket and whoa nelly.....pinch off a piece and move it or lose it! Good luck with your snake phobes baby!

There aren't going to be any snakes out. Everything is frozen. Snakes need heat.

if the pipes are frozen the cold blooded snakes are probably dormant.
