Hey, do you think it would be a good thing to have a monthly handyman party where an experienced handyman would demonstrate and teach home repairs and maintenance?

This would be like a tupperware party, and door prizes would be passed out, a small fee would cover expenses, and there could be wine and cheese, or snacks?

that's really good!
handyman could get clients, guests could get knowledge. its a great event, im sure.
u can try to solicit from stores later on (sponsors), that could be like a business for everyone.
but having it monthly might be too much, try every other month or quarterly to make it more big!
good luck!

I would go for the educational benefit of being able to do it myself next time. I would pay up to ten bucks for ones that I want to learn. Like fixing holes in the wall (from kids throwing stuff into it), and replacing the plastic junk pipes under the faucet. Good idea though. I would have some good tips on getting guests to show up and such if you choose to do this. You can email me for tips.

Most handymen would not do this or like this because it takes away from there livelihood if they do this for a living. But a great idea if you could get someone to do it.
