I have a gas heater that has a seperate upstairs and downstairs hookup. The downstairs turns on and off like it is suppose too. However the up stairs once it goes on will not turn off on its own no matter what. However if I go downstairs in the basement and take the red wire off of the upstairs hookup the heat will turn off. Does anyone know what the problem could be?? How do I fix this?? Thanks.

I really need to know how to fix this and what is causing it.

I am wearing normal work trousers, and this is getting really embarrasing. People are looking and laughing.

My missus did not iron them, could this be the reason? I thought maybe because the crease hasn't been ironed.

It seems to look worse when I have my wallet etc in my pockets.

Please HELP!!!

The washer and dryer are in the basement of our building. I put the clothes in and then come back upstairs. I have no idea how long they take to get done. How long should I wait before I schlep back downstairs to put them in the dryer? Then how long before they are dry? I always wait too long and they get all wrinkly.

Which ones are comfortable to sleep on for lengthy visits? My in-laws could stay for 3 months at a time. For the folding beds, I mean those cot-like ones with thin mattresses, not murphy beds.

We want to lay gravel around the base of the house about three feet out from the house and then be able later to plant some boxwoods around the house.

While carrying for my cousins cat my dog and cat became very territorial and began urinating in each others places. The visiting cat is gone, they are still doing it occasionally, but only in the hallway where I can't seem to get rid of the smell. The cat urinates outside the room where the dog sleeps and the dog urinates outside the room the cat sleeps in. I have a 98 year old house with painted wood floors and nothing I have done seems to get rid of the smell or stop them from doing it. I bought a product called 'odoban' that helped some but when I use it my husband sneezes up a storm. I think if I get rid of the smell they will stop but I just don't know how to get the smell out of old painted wood. HELP! Thanks so much for any suggestions ;)

Hello people... we had a powercut earlier.. and 5 hours after the electric came back on..
I turned the hotwater and centeral heating on .. boiler sounds like it's fired up and the piolet light is on, but 2 hrs later the boiler itself is still cold and there's no hotwater/centeral heating...
is my boiler fuggered or has it got something to do with the power cut (or is it just coincidence that the boiler should pack up after the powercut as it was working last night)

many thanks
Lawrence

I used an indoor/outdoor (very strong) double-sided side to mount speaker wire housing to the tops of my walls. Now that I am moving I need to remove all the housing and I'm left with adhesive residue that is a major pain to get off the walls. I tried goo gone, heating with a hair dryer and nothing seems to work. I also need to try to avoid damaging the walls. Any ideas?

What would be the easiest way to make the door fit. The door needs to be 5 inches wider and 15 inches taller to fit the doorway. It's a folding door that sits on a track.

Just bought 50 Yr old house. Over door, outside outlet & 2 driveway lamps on circuit. Outside outlet was falling apart so I replaced with GFCI outlet. Test GFCI would not trip and no power through outlet though voltage was there. Over door & 2 driveway lamps worked fine. Replaced GFCI with another, same result. Replaced with regular outlet, test result was reverse hot/ground, which I am certain it is not. A few days later, bulb burned out in one of the driveway lamps. Replaced the bulb and within 2 days that buurned out. Removed regular outlet with GFCI. Still no power through it but driveway bulb has stopped burning out.

I have a smell coming from under a kitchen cabinet that smells like sour milk (no spilt milk or moisture - all dry goods) but I cannot find anything to cause the smell. No old containers forgotten about or anything. House is kept clean

Does anyone know if mouse pee or something from mice can produce this kind of smell. I heard a mouse last night so I am wondering?
