I used an indoor/outdoor (very strong) double-sided side to mount speaker wire housing to the tops of my walls. Now that I am moving I need to remove all the housing and I'm left with adhesive residue that is a major pain to get off the walls. I tried goo gone, heating with a hair dryer and nothing seems to work. I also need to try to avoid damaging the walls. Any ideas?

Did you try nail polish remover it contains acetone which disolves almost anything. There is also a chemical that is used in the Auto industry called M.E.K but I don't no where you could get it in small qty's

First of all, there is one. I bought a car that was all pimped out with the dark window stuff and when I peeled it off, there was a mess of adhesive residue.

I don't have it any more, but it was in a spray bottle and called something like Heavy Duty Adhesive remover (really!)

If you go to a reputable hardware store and tell them what you need, they'll hook you up. Also, when you buy it, make sure they'll take it back if it doesn't work (they will). Hope that helps out.
