My ex used to dry flowers by just wrapping string around the stems of a bouquet of flowers and hang them upside down and they would dry out for flower arranging. I have a dozen roses with baby's breath that I would like to do the same thing with. Will it work, and any hints on the best way to do it?

I just bought a Singer sewing machine (my first) and I am wanting to sew a straight stitch centered, however the needle (the needle is brand new and straight) is off center to the left about 1/8 of an inch. Can I fix this or do I need to return the machine?

i have a problem in my house and it seems to be coming from the circuit panel or a breaker . the breaker is fairly new about a year old and i can hear a clicking noise when lights flicker . could it be a bad circuit breaker or loose wire to the breaker?

There are crayon marks on my white piano keys! The piano tuner said the best way he's found is to dilute "Tough and Tender" and it works like a charm. My piano is a very nice Baldwin and he said that it would be the safest to use without risking any damage. He said not to use on the black keys though. I don't know how to get this product yet but has anyone used it for this purpose?

Well, this is starting to become annoying and I don't know why. I'm 13 and I live in a house that used to be owned by some crazy people. Anyways, one time, at 5:00 AM, all the Alarms went off and I was like "Okay, the batteries must be old, my dad will change them." He changed them and it seemed alright, but the next day it started ringing again.

This happened a month ago and my dad just changed the batteries again just 5 days ago. Right now the alarm is ringing spontaneously and there's nothing on, the heater isn't on, we're not cooking anything, we're just relaxing and the batteries are BRAND new. What do I do or what can my dad do?

I'm sick of the same old colors in my house. I know. There's so many shades of each color and techniques we can use to distress them or whatever. But the bottom line is there's still just the same basic colors. Anyone else ever think that besides me?

I'm going to be moving in a few months - probably not more than 10-20 blocks or so. I have a small studio apartment - two desks, queen bed, nightstand, small love seat, dining room table, TV, and TV stand. How much does it generally cost to hire a moving company for a move of this size?

I'm looking for clock parts - specifically a 6'' x 6'' square brass clock face. I do want to order online since it will take too long to ship. Can anyone tell me where i can get one in New York City? Maybe a certain store that sells general clock parts? Thanks

I'm worried I'll damage my pump/heater or the inside of the pool, is there anything I should do or should I just not bother at this point? I remember the pool store mentioning that i should drain the pool with a pump before winter.

i have two large living rooms that were once seperated by wooden doors that parted in the middle, they were breaking so we decided to take them down, and now there nothing to seperate the rooms that are red and purple, does anyone know some sites that could give me ideas for fabric or a way to seperate rooms....since the house is very settled, it would be almost impossible to get doors with the wacky measurements

I'm not looking to change my the color of the tub or anything else. I just need to know what colors will go good with lightish pink. I need to change that wall paper and accesorize. I've used Burgundy in the past but I'm tired of looking at that color. I am going to redo my tile on the floor so suggestions will be nice. Thanks

The pilot on my gas furnace has gone out. I know that I have to press the knob down for 30 seconds as the pilot lights.

However, where the heck do I light it? Do I just put my lighter anywhere where the tubes are and hope it lights? There is nothing out there that shows you the exact tube you have to light.

It's a common thing for it to go out, but I have never had to light it before.

Please help! Thanks!

I would like to keep the washingmachine/dishwasher/ and the bass sounds from music that are coming from my neighbors out of my apartment. They run water at 4-8 a.m. and it sounds like a waterfall and it wakes me up. Also traffic noise is bad. The walls are very thin. I am renting and cannot tear up the walls. Has anyone made a soundbarrier room just for sleeping? It would have to have ventilation. I don't need a whisperroom with acoustics-just something to keep the sound out. I would like to know how to soundproof a walk-in-closet for sleeping if anyone knows how to do that without tearing up the walls. I have heard of Quietrock drywall, but don't know if that would work for something I'll have to remove when I can get outta here. I tried earplugs but those hurt my ears.
