I'm going to be moving in a few months - probably not more than 10-20 blocks or so. I have a small studio apartment - two desks, queen bed, nightstand, small love seat, dining room table, TV, and TV stand. How much does it generally cost to hire a moving company for a move of this size?

He is right, but to really answer your question they charge by the room and the weight of the furniture. Not so much by how far you are moving if its a local moving company. But from what it sounds like it wont be to expensive if you do hire them. Good luck!

Each moving company has their own prices but with the amount you have I would say you would be better off having a couple of friends help you and rent a small u haul

Well, I'd flunk the estimate because I'm a book nut and books weigh more than anything else you own.
