I want to repaint old glass/ceramic lamps to make them new again, what type of paint can I use?

in the craft store, there are these spray on paints that will work. they come in different textures, like stone, or marble. i have used these, they are easy, dry quickly, look nice..they come in a variety of colors

use epoxy or melamine paint (beware--it smells nasty) if there are chips or scratches in the surface, you should fill and sand them first using a filler thats used for repair of toilets and tubs.
