Go with white. It is close to silver and matches black perfectly.

You need another color in the room other than brown, and something with a bit of a pattern so everything isn't solid. Definitely the white lace curtains don't work. You could pick up on the burgundy or the blue, or go for curtains that would mean new throw pillows. You could make the two windows look like one by using a really long rod, putting a panel on the outside of each window but then put a number of panels between the windows. Use a rod that is darker and complements your lights; some sort of iridescent fabric with a pattern will reflect light. Also, can you put something on your walls - art? BTW, loved the bits of your pets that showed in the photos.

Apparantly Black and Silver are the Them colors, I would go with an Ivory color With Cording an the edging and lots of colorful Pillow (red) with an area rug with bright (red), silver and some sage or light Green colors. I guess what i am saying Is a colorful rug. To have color and a focal point. Lots of Vases and Books (leather bound) would be awsome. Good Luck It sounds like you are off to a good start.

A couple of things come to mind; you could get a solid color couch that is in a bright color to contrast with all the black and silver - maybe red or blue. You could also go with grey, to maintain the rather neutral theme but keep it from being ALL black, and use various accents - pillows, rugs, etc. - for color and texture.

i kind of like the silver gray idea. the bold colors would look nice, but you might get bored with them easily. i think gray or black would work, you can add color with accent pieces, artwork, pillows, throw rugs..
sounds pretty..
good luck
