I keep the thermostat in my trailer as low as it will go, 50F, but the heater still comes on. I really dont need it, i run an electric one in the bedroom where I sleep, and bundle up around the house otherwise. It is very drafty, and a waste of money to heat the whole place. I have one of those in-wall-set standing heaters in the hallway with the pilot at the bottom. If i blow out the pilot, is that safe? will it still emit gas? ....would it be effective?

One plant is dropping leaves and the other has tiny beige dots starting at the tip of the leave and moving down, as it does the leaf is turning brown.
Do I treat this with outdoor bug spray?
Thanks!

The phone box i.e. where the wire from the telephone goes in to the socket in the wall broke. I bought a new one in a local hardware store. The new one is completely different to the one I owned previously, there are four connectors yellow green red and black n the box and the telephone wire from the wall has red blue green and brown. Any ideas how to wire this up or a website that will tell me. Any help appreciated

I have 20 year old brass door hinges that work fine but they have a lot of black grease buildup. How can I remove the grease and polish them. I don't want to go through the hassle of replacing all of the hinges. thanks

Now the fan is always on and unless we don't want light in the room, we have to leave it that way...

Every time the heat kicks on you can smell a "dead" odor coming from the vents. I know we have mice because I've seen them. Any suggestions? I'm not very mechanical.

Does anybody know for sure which outlets sell distilled water? I know garages and pharmacies have been mentioned already on another post as places likely to sell but all the places I've tried so far do not stock it. Anybody out there buying distilled water in Reading?

I want to install electric underfloor heating in my bathroom which is about to be redone. What I can't understand is how you fit it round toilets etc if it can't be cut? My room is exactly 2m wide but the toilet will cover part of that and the sink etc which it's not supposed to go underneath so what do you do? Does it mean getting a smaller heating mat and having big cold gaps!
Also anyone used B&Q pads or Fired Earth pads - would you recommend? Thanks x
