buy a cheap batt clock fit motor and hands to your clock

you can get a replacement battery powered clock motor from any good electronics store.
personally i use TANDY, they have a fair selection so you should be able to get a replacement that matches the broken clock motor.
this is a very simple job to remove the old unit and replace it with the new, and also the replacement is not expensive.
