The temperature requirements varyfrom plant to plant. An average of 65 to 75 degrees will be a suitable day temperature for many foliage plants. During the winter, be very careful about where you place your plants during a freeze. Placing the plant in a drafty area or near a window could expose it to outdoor temps.

Yes it does.....although it does depend on the types of plants you have. Some plants do much better with warmer temps and some with cooler temps.

depending on the type it can matter. some like cooler temps like poinsettias or cyclamens. some like warmer temps like african violets. some like moist conditions like ferns. so it depends read up on you plants and find out what they like. one thing to keep in mind most do no like to sit directly under any type of heating or cooling vent.

Sure, if you go on vacation and let the house get too cold, they'll suffer. Too hot they'll suffer, too humid isn't so much a problem.

Sort of. I have had houseplants a lot and as long as it's not baking or freezing, and its humid enough you should be fine. They will tell you when they need water by drooping.
