Just bought a new platform rocker and it moves across the floor as you rock.

I am using this rocker on an Oriental rug. I've tried attaching some of the rug non-slip fabric to the bottom of the platform, but it still moves.

You must have a wooden floor. I'd get some non-slip strips that are made for the bathtub, and attach them to the underside of your rocker.

Isn't that annoying? I have made a ridge for the front legs of the rocking chair. It keeps it from moving forward, but you can still rock.

Perhaps on the underside of the legs, some duck tape doubled back on itself to hold it in place. If that doesn't work, some nails.
