Even when all three are on, the living room is still not as bright as I'd like it at night. I wish my place had ceiling lights. The shades are a teal color if that makes a difference.

We got my son an aquadoodle for Christmas that is a bunch of colored foam tiles that fit together. Of course he got the markers mixed up with his aquadoodle pen and colored on it. Any ideas how to get the marker off? Magic eraser did not work....for once!

Should I keep inside lights on at night when I go to bed. Or should I turn them off when I go to bed. What about night lights. Will that pave the way to where I am if a criminal breaks in.

I just thought I'd ask, as new inventions come out everyday? I need to hang curtains over my patio door verticle blinds. If there is nothing new available, guess I'll pull out the old ladder and screwdriver. Curtains make the place feel more homey than just blinds.

I recently purchased a new bedroom set (an antique black color) and am trying to redo the room before it arrives. I'm hoping to paint the walls a buttery yellow color, and I have oak colored hardwood floors. My question is what color would you recommend painting all of the trim (fairly wide trim along the floors, around all windows, doors, and the hope is for crown molding eventually)?? We usually like the starkness of white trim, however it seems as if it would be rather jarring against the black furniture. Any assistance you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I am a stay at home mother. I married at the age of 18. I lived with my parents before that and my mom always did all of the laundry and house work. I rarely even had to clean my room. I have been married for almost three years and I just can not get the hang of laundry and keeping my house clean. I much rather play with my two wonderful children.
I want to know if anyone has a strict routine or a way of motivating themselves. I am disgusted with my house but I am not doing anything about it. I can't have people over because I'm embarresed. I would love for my home to be clean and be able to entertain and have people over LOTs. HELP!!!

I am trying to fix a leak in my tub faucet. In order to do so, I have to unscrew the handles. I unscrewed the little screw holding the handles, but no matter how much I turn the handle left or right, and no matter how much I pull on it or try to pry it off, the thing just won't come off.
