Steve,
I am on your side! Unfortunately, my housekeeper is on your wife's side.
I don't use bleach for laundry since LA has hard water and the reaction will turn whites yellow.
I use it for sanitizing my surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms. I can't cook unless my kitchen is wiped down with bleach.
When my housekeeper comes in, I have her wipe down the inside of the cabinets with bleach, both in the kitchen and bathrooms.
As for the person who said bleach is not good to inhale, that is not true. Pure chlorine will kill you. However sodium hypochlorite will not hurt you as long as you are not in a confined space.

Steve,
I do not have a sense of smell. Can't smell perfumes, flowers, babies, foods of all kinds, farts, gasoline, etc...ect.... Never have been able to! It's just so sad.....
But! I CAN smell bleach and ammonia! Both stink and I can't stand either smell! Yuck..... They say they disinfect and I can see why it does.
And since you like the bleach smell..... I'd let you use it! Lol...... Around here you'd have a lot of mopping to do!

Totally love it. Sometimes there's nothing better than that smell. Especially when spring comes. Oh yeah. :)

Not really. It can be overbearing quite easily. However, a little is okay.
