I seen this on a previous question. Please DO NOT, if you have a lock with a broken key in it, dont try to super glue the 2 parts together and then pull it out. more than likely you will spill or squeeze out the glue on to the other parts of the lock internally and "freeze" the rest of it up. IF IF IF IF IF this happens, womens nail polish remover will work to break down the gluse and eventually work it loose. BUT you will be right back where you started from....
This wasnt a question, more of a public service announcement...

just why do people ask all these questions on d.i.y. If I couldnt do it I wouldnt start it. All those I have read up to now I could do myself and I 58 year old woman. I mean who would put tiles in there bathroom then put the sink in without realising the sink would be higher and the pipes wouldnt reach. the only good one is the person that said about staining the shed before erecting and that is yes, but do the outside agin after it up.

It seems that no matter how much I clean up my house, it's always a mess!! Now don't get me wrong...my house is very clean as far as germs and all, but it's almost impossible to keep it neat and straight for any length of time. I do have children, but I know lots of people with kids who have it "all together" and still have a great looking home! I'm at my wits end!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I want to put a few pictures up in the bedroom on the outside wall but am not good with the power tools... My OH says that it must be drilled and pluged first but I know he wont get round to doing it.
Would it really be that bad to just tack a few nails in the wall to hang them on? i'm not worried about the plaster cracking but just want to make sure the pictures stay up.

There are currently two dogs in house: 1 wiener dog and one Doberman. Smell is not of dog urine or feces per se but rather of ... "dog"

Any help is much appreciated as this is the only thing that prevents us from making an offer on the house!

Is it normal to have a sudden change like this in an indoor orange tree? The room is usually at least 62 degrees, sunny and watered once a week. The fruit is ready but small. I live in Canada zone 5. I have other indoor trees that drop their leaves is this the same thing? I don't want this tree to die as it was expensive and iI really like it. Any info would be appreciated

I own a oleander tree that has started to turn brown due to the cold weather. I bought it nearby, but I'm not sure that it's zoned for this area. I'm not sure why they would sell it here if it isn't. Any advice on what to do about it turning brown, or is it doomed?

Thanks!

A few months ago I planted two watermelons in my garden from seedlings. One has barely grown at all, the other has gone absolutely berserk and is at least 2 metres long and has 5 or 6 different 'arms' on it. A few yellow flowers have appeared recently, but no actual fruit to speak of. When (if?) will it grow an actual watermelon? Thank you
