I have outlets controlled by light switches in the rooms of my house. I changed the outlets and now they don't work. I wired the new outlets the same way that I took the old ones apart - I disconnected one wire from the old and immediately put it in the same place on the new one. Can you please help me fix the problem so I don't have to hire an electrician????

We've used the spray and collar for the two cats, a powder, and a fogger, but I still see them. We did the powder thing last night, and that took care of most of them, then we fogged the house today, thinking it would take care of everything, but I still see a few...

I probably just need to give it time, but I wanted to know of any other alternatives, or any techniques to use with the spray, powder, or fogger. Another question: Will doing any of these again help?

my home was built in the 70's, and while i love the rustic wood accented vaulted ceilings, the wood paneling has started driving me nuts after a year and a half of lookin at them! Every main floor wall is wood paneling...and feels like an old mobile home. the back bedrooms were painted over when we moved in. (def still paneling under there by the way nails go in the wall...lol) One room has the lines in the paneling filled somehow, and painted and looks great. We were able to re-paint it baby colors when we were expecting without any problems at all. any ideas how they were able to do it and get it as smooth as drywall? I love the smooth look, and would like to do my living and dining area similarly. How?

I have a TV on a base in my entertainment center that all totaled weighs about 100 pounds. It is on a tile surface, and if I need to slide it out to get to the wires, it is a royal pain. I know that there are small devices made to place underneath at each corner that makes it a whole lot easier to move, but have no idea what they are called. Thanks!

I have a 4-plex with natural gas piping into furnaces and hot water heaters in the building. An Inspector said that two of the apartments have a pipe jumpiing between them (well, actually, illegal flex hose). We have traced all the lines to the separate water haters, furnaces, and stoves, and can't figure out for the life of us why the previous owner (did some piping himself) connected the two together.

The two upstairs apartments used to be on one gas line, which was split into two, but the pipes appear to all be run correctly and all of the target devices are accounted for.

Do natural gas pipes have to cycle like propane does, with some type of backfeed, or could the jump pipe serve some other purpose? No one has lived in these two apartment for years, so it does not make sense that it was to steal gas from somebody else's apartment to save money.
