i need to buy a sofa and a loveseat, or maybe just a sofa and a recliner, but i don't want my cats hair to stick like glue to it (white kitty) what kind of upholstery should i be looking for?

leather is great, We have three dogs and two cats. The cats tried to use the leather as a scratching post about once each and gave up. Other than that, get anything you like and a spray bottle of water. When ever kitty try's to scratch, give her a spritz, she will soon figure out it is not a nice place to play.

Assuming your cats don't have claws, leather or microfiber would be fine. The microfiber is pretty tight, so neither my dog's nor cat's hair get entangled in the fabric so it couldn't be vacuumed. It sits right on top and is easy to maintain.
