peanut butter. when i worked in property management that was what we always used. also go and buy a sticky trap. you set it up in the shape of a tent and it is supper sticky and then put some peanut butter on the inside, the mouse goes in to eat, gets stuck to in and voila, you caught your uninvited house guest.

If your using a kill trap put a cheerio in the holder and than cover the part on the bottom with peanut butter. The mouse wont be able to pull the cheerio out with out setting off the trap. If using a have a heart trap you can use just about anything that would atract it. If you can find the spot where is is coming in your house fill the hole with steel wool. They cant chew through it because it cuts up thier gums. Also you can put fresh mint leaves in problem areas. For some reason that discourages them.

peanut butter is good you can also make your own traps get a bucket or a large jar fill it up with water around half way make like a bridge or something for the mouse to climb up on, put a broad just touching the bridge put peanut butter on the broad as the mouse is trying to eat the peanut butter the broad tips over into the water in the jar.

I've heard that peanut butter attracts them. But what I found that was most reliable, are those sticky traps (little tub filled with gue) and you place them really close along the walls like under your sink, behind the frig or other dark spaces and corners.

Great, a cat. Now instead of one nasty creature in the house, he'll have two. They don't rent cats, so then he'll have this thing until it dies/runs away.

If you see a mouse, try to follow him and see where he goes. He's nesting somewhere. Use peanut butter on the mousetrap and put it near his lair. Mice are lazy and he'll eventually eat the peanut butter and kill himself.

Mixing poison (D-Con or whatever) with flour and placing a small dish in an area frequented by the mouse usually works. Ratio of poison/flour is 1:1.

Peanut butter works really well. I had a little bugger that could get everything else but the peanut butter is too gooey and they have to eat it there. Worked like a charm.
