One of my sons blew out the candle sitting in my living room and wax was splashed up on the wall. It is dry wall, looks like an orange peel, and has been painted with flat latex paint. The candle is from Bath & Body Works (Warm Vanilla Sugar) and seems to have grease in it. Any cleaning solutions? Kilz and repaint the area? HELP!!

I had some red candles that splattered as they burnt and left red wax on the wall next to the mantle where they were sitting. I had to scrape the wax off with a knife and then I simply painted over the red stain with some left over paint that the builders left when they built the house for touch ups.

Scrape the excess off. Take a damp washcloth and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Using a potholder, hold the washcloth against the wax left on the wall until the wax softens and you can slide it off the wall.

Lay brown paper on it then carefully iron it with a dry iron. The wax will enter the paper.

I know when you get it on the carpet you're supposed to put a newspaper over it and iron it on low heat to get it up, I'd try that on your wall. good luck!
