I have alot of blood on my walls and in my carpet and even a few spatters on the ceiling. Don't want to say how it got there but I need to get it off before somebody comes over. Any suggestions?
Also, any suggestions on a good glue to repair a broken ball bat?

I have a very old dryer that has been working perfectly. No signs of anything fixing to go wrong and then all of the sudden it just stopped all together. I was drying clothes (no problem getting hot), the buzzer went off, I took the completely dry clothes out of the dryer, put the wet ones in, my daughter closed the door (rather hard) and now the dryer wont do anything at all. You would think the outlet had stopped working. I had a repair team come out and they tried to tell me that a dryer with no previous problems has a bad engine and its going to cost over $200 to fix. After thinking about this thru the evening I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if it is possible my daughter some how broke the door sensor thing (little plastic things that click when you shut the door)? It looks to be all there and attached, but I never really payed attention to it before hand.
Any help would be wonderful as I dont have the money to buy a new dryer and have a large family size!!!!

The septic tank has been backing up...shortly after being pumped the ground over the tank becomes wet after doing laundry or a lot of showers.

This would indicate the water not entering the leech field. How many years do leech fields last? Anything that could cause them to behave this way?

Any inputs (constructive) would be appreciated!

I love pantyhose! I also like sniffing them, just the toe portions though. Nothing gets me more turned on then to sniff the toe portion of well worn nylons. I go to the laundry mat and swipe any pretty ladies dirty hose out of their baskets, hee hee

We had a couple of people (55 yr olds) staying with us in our home for 4 days. Since they left the bedroom and bathroom that they have used has an extreme foul smell in it.
For over 3 days now we have had the windows open but to no avail the smell still is as strong.
The bed clothes etc has been removed, floors washed etc but still no good.
As the couple showered each day we are dumbfounded what has happened and why we can't seem to find the smell.
Any ideas would be appreciated otherwise wallpaper, flooring etc will have to be removed with is an expense that I would rather do without.
The couple have in there own home 8 cats and a dog but if this smell had been of there clothes then why would it still be in the room if they are not there??
Please feel free to ask any questions that could help get this sorted. We have spoke with professionals in this area and they don't know. Just glad you guys are there to help!!!
Look forward to your answers.
Thanks in advance

I beleive there is a stray cat that climbs on my roof and sprays. I live in the attic of my house and my whole room smells like it! I've lived in this house for 20 years and this room was just redone so I know its not the house. My father said he saw a cat on the roof one time and this smell comes back constantly. I dont know what to do to get rid of the smell AND the cat.

My bathroom light bulb blew so I took out the bulb, went to Homebase and bought what looks to me the exact same bulb (it's a recessed ceiling light, 240V, 60W). Screwed in the new bulb - no light. Tried both new bulbs to no avail, but both new bulbs work in other lamps and the old bulb doesn't. What am I doing wrong? I looked for circuit breakers and found "sockets" and "lights" so I guess if the switch had tripped all the lights wouldn't work. Please help having baths by candlelight is not fun anymore!!

I have a barn at the back of my property. The old road is no more and long gone. Now all I have is a very wet but nice looking soggy lawn on top of clay soil. I want to be able to drive back to the barn without putting in a concrete or asphalt roadway. I like the look of the grass or something less noticeable. I was thinking about a strip driveway and a friend suggested a corduroy type road. Does anyone have any other "solid" ideas?

There is a new law concerning CO detectors. This may be a dumb question, but are these required if you do not utilize gas for anything? My lights, and cooking are electric, and I use radiant heat, where the floor baseboards are heated from a boiler in a large apartment building.Thanks.

I have an aloe plant that is quite healthy and would like to use it to grow another one. I heard you just pull off a leaf from the plant and plant it in a cup of soil and it will grow roots. Is this true? If not, please tell me how to do it

I have a composter at home, into which I put all my fruit and veg peelings, egg shells, egg boxes, teabags etc. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to accelarate the decomposition process so that I can use my compost this spring?

I have been filling the thing since last easter, how long will it take until the compost is ready to use?

I would be grateful for any tips.

Thank you!

I'm planning a future addition to my house, which will include a new bathroom. I was told be someone that I need to be careful when adding more plumbing, because it will affect my water pressure. If it will give me poor water pressure, then what steps can I take to make sure this doesn't happen?

When the refrigerator is working properly, hot air is coming from the freezer and when the freezer is working properly the refrigerator is in maintenance. I unplugged the fridge and left it in that condition for the whole night. The next morning I plugged it again but I faced the same problem.

I have two old sinks, both made from cast iron, with the typical white finish. They are both 60 years+ and you can tell. How can I restore some of the luster to them, they are faded and scratched from years of use.
