check the relief valves. On home units they are notoriously cheap, and once they begin to leak, they will not reseat.

i think i know what a combi boiler is, is it a combination furnace and hot water heater ??? if it is then you have more than a few coils in there.. maybe one or more heat exchangers. check the coils.. if your unit is 5 years old or longer you may have a bad coil, if you have hard water also. good luck sweety. p.s you did'nt say where your drop in pressure was occuring your water is either going into the hot water side or the boiler side through a bad coil.

call a heating contractor (not a plumber, they are idiots) find out who installed the unit and call them.
