I need bedroom makeover ideas! (Please read)?

Question

I am a teenage girl with a medium sized bedrrom with white walls and cream carpet. The biggest furniture I have is my bed, a desk, and a table holding a t.v. I want to move all these things around, get orginizing ideas, and crafts I could do for my room. I also wanna know if I should take my posters down or not. And what theme my room should be.

Your tastes change quickly when you're a teenager. You might want to keep fairly plain walls, then provide lots of hooks to hang up framed photos, etc.

You can take your own photos or download pictures off the net. If you want, you can use a website to add a frame with all sorts of good designs, looking like metal, wood, plastic, different colors, shapes, etc.

You then print the framed picture on glossy paper, put it in a cheap clear plastic clip-together frame and hang it up. You can take it apart and change the photo any time you like.

When moving office furnitue, I always do a scale drawing of the office with 1 inch squares representing each square foot. I create scale paper cut-outs of the furniture, then move them around to check whether their is enough space between items, where the door swings when you open it. Its easier than moving physical furniture to try out different ideas.

Make sure the window isn't behind you for computer monitors etc, so you don't get reflection and glare on screen. Having the monitor at 90 degress to the window is best. Also consider where artifical lights are relative to the monitor and TV.

Where are the power points and phone sockets and will cables have to trail a long way or up and over doorways, etc? Would wi-fi or TV relay by radio to get signals from downstairs be better than cables?

1. Pick some colors you really like and let that be your theme--earth tones or brights--just keep that part simple. Then you could add accessories that you could easily change if you got tired of them.
2. Organization... make sure you have enough storage space for all your stuff. That's the trouble I have...
3. Try putting your bed on an angle. Make sure the big furniture is balanced--don't put everything on one wall or anything like that.
4. You could make some curtains to match whatever color you choose.
5. Try www.hgtv.com. They've got all kinds of ideas!
6. I know it's hard to part with the posters, but that'll make such a difference. You could create some kind of collage with them, and condense them into a smaller work of art, and then put that into a nice frame that coordinates with your decor.

#1- Why not just pick some colors you like since any theme you like now, you might outgrow.
#2- Get pretty baskets to hold things that have no home.Clean your closet and take down all kiddie toys and dolls.Posters make a room look messy.
