If you only need the waist smaller, then put 2 dart in the back of the pants. If you are not a semstress----take it to a tailor and they will do it for a few dollars. If you want them to shrink all over then wash them in the hottest water (advised to do)---Then dry and they will shrink, cotton always does......

If the pants have a button to fasten them, it is easy to move the button over a little. Otherwise pop them into the dryer or have a tailor look at them.

For most who sew, the waistband can be removed, shortened to the correct size, and reattached.

This is a painful process if you are losing weight and will have to repeat the process in several months. Either wait until you are at goal weight, or buy some new pants.

What a wonderful question! Most people need to know how to make them 1 or 2 sizes bigger.

Use the hot water or' whites' setting on your wahing machine. but this will probably shrink them in other areas too. Just have another brownie and soon these pants will fit..... sorry...
