Ive got a baxi 105e combi and its behaving very badly, the hot water side is fine and so is the heating.... to a point.
When the timer kicks in, it will fire up, get to temp (after prob 15-20mins) and then shut down and thats it. It wont heat again unless its been switched off for a while and cooled off.
Some times it will maintain the temp for a few hours sometimes a few minutes.
Ive tried-
Replaceing the heating thermostat... it worked for a day then failed.
Stripped the 3 way valve- diaphrams ok, all parts free & not siezed.... it worked for a day then failed.
Bridged the timer out so was on constant.... it worked for 2 days then failed.
Emptied the whole system and re-filled (with inhibiter)... same story, worked for a while then failed again.
Ive spoke to a couple of plumbers and the general consession was to keep buying new parts and fitting until the problem went away??? (this is why I haven't involved them yet!)
Anyone qualified who knows what they are talking about?

Hi. We have a hot water heater that seems to have something wrong with it. Whe your turn on the cold only, the water is clear. When you turn on hot water, it is a rusty color. We think it is the hot water heater doing this. Anyone have a similar problem? How to fix? We have drained the heater and still the same problem. Thanks in advance!

My 3 year old daughter recently took a science class (gardening). On the last day, they sent her home with a "mini composter"---an earthworm! The container had instruction to release the worm in the garden in two days. We live in Wisconsin. It's 16 degrees outside and there's 10 inches of snow already on the ground. Is it feasible to try to keep the worm alive until spring? What do I do with it? It surely can't stay in it's current "home", which is nothing more than a condiment container. Help!!!!

Hi >
I use mine for either parking a beer, as a beer mat, putting them under potted plants, or hanging them in rows in the allotment to scare critters away.
Any other good ideas ?

After we set the dial to wash, the water starts to fill the tub. However, after a brief moment, I hear a sound as if a valve is closing and the water reduces to a small trickle. If I fill the tub using buckets, the machine will go through the wash cycle, but the problem repeats during the rinse cycle.

I would like to fix this myself to save money. Do you know of a web site with information about fixing appliances, or do you have any suggestions yourself?

The cast iron radiators have cracked (very likely from being frozen at some time) and are no longer useable. Because of the weight of these units, I would like to find an easier and better alternative for replacement. I would appreciate any advice from someone with knowledge or experience in this regard. Thanks.

Why do most landscapers use commercial walk behind mowers when the cost of a brand new garden or yard tractor is so much less? I was looking to start up a buisness and I found that a 8 - 10 year old walk behind commercial walk behind mower (32-48 inches) is the same price as a brand new tractor? Anybody with lawn mowing buisness experiance an answer would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm painting the exterior of my house and am wondering which is the best exterior acrylic latex paint available for wood siding on a house. I'm looking into the new BEHR nano-guard acrylic latex exterior paint but also heard that Benjamin Moore was pretty good as well. BEHR offers lifetime warrenty and Benjamin Moore offers similar warrenty eventhough no paint last more than a few years, does that means longer warrenty stands for better product?

I'm interested in switching to solar power for my home. However, I live in the mountains of Park City, Utah where we get 200+ inches of snow annually. A typical January finds 4 feet of snow in the yard and nearly as much on my roof. Would I benefit from switching to solar? Would I have to plow my roof after I'm done plowing the driveway?
Thoughts?
Thanks!!!
