I am going to be moving into a place this weekend and when I was shown the place there wasn't really any bugs but I was given the keys early after signing the lease and since I've been back there is a huge roach infestation there. I cleaned, sprayed, set traps, and bombed. Went back again to turn on electricity and the roaches were still all over kitchen appliances bathroom garage etc. I have read about the boric acid/sprays etc. Want professionals but don't want 2 spend for pros. Want problem eliminated. Any suggestions?

We are in a new home and the previous residents planted bulbs. I am curious what is popping up now. I can't figure out what they could be.

They look sort of like tulip leaves only shorter and are dark green.

Do you have a list of bulbs that would be showing their leaves in the early fall?

An exterminator came to my mother's house and put out traps, but caught nothing. Mom put out a small trap and caught several, but she doesn't know how to draw them out of her house. Someone told her to put anti-freeze out since they like it and they would die. But, she doesn't want them dying up there, either, since the space isn't big enough for someone to crawl in and get the animal out. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I'd really like to look into having someone landscape our yard in the winter because I will have more time off and can be home to keep the dogs away from the workers. I live in alb, NM and it can get pretty cold, thus the ground can be pretty hard. Is this realistic or should we wait til spring?

I came across an alternative to concrete breakerboad that I can't identify. I appears to be foam sandwiched by a rubberized type of compound. Any ideas?

I recently purchased a home and had the air conditioner/heater checked by a HVAC mechanic. He found that a wire was keeping the Air Conditioner compressor from coming on; he connected it. He then checked the heat and said everything was working fine. Well now, a couple months later, it's getting cold, so I've turned on the heat. Only cold air is coming out of the gas furnace. Is there something I should be doing since this is the first time I've turned on the heat? Please help.

My boiler has packed up and we can't afford to replace it right now. We have heating sorted out , its just hot water? How much would it cost to replace the existing over bath shower that was supplied by the hot water tank to an independant over bath electric shower? Any ideas?

We have a crawl space which has no moisture coming in at all & has ventilation, but still has a musty odor. We have painted it with special paint and done our best to figure out why it is still musty smelling but it isn't getting any better. It is a large space with a door that opens into a family room. Our house is very clean but this smell is so noticeable people comment on it. Please, can anyone help with suggestions. We have tried all kinds of odor masking sprays, etc, but it just seems to make it more noticeable.
Thank you for any help you might give us. We are truly desperate to get rid of this smell!!

I would like to replace the bathroom suite and do mosaic tiling. Is it difficult to do yourselve.

Should I put the bathroom in first then do it.

Is it expensive, where can I go and buy these at a good price and variety?

What are the different types of mosaic I can use?

What is a must for home and contents as there are so many options. I also want to make sure I dont get stung so much. We have kids so could cause damage.

Also making claims for roofing and guttering, is that covered.

Found this plant in my garden, wonder if it is some form of apple tree. It has apple-looking fruit and the inside looks apple-like as well?

Have a look at these pictures, tell me if you know what it is?
Thanks
