My house was recently inspected and I was told I would have to install a fire alarm in every room to follow building code.

As far as I know every bedroom and the hall must have a fire alarm. I do not believe that living rooms and kitchens are required to have them.

i think of between the persons in my construction has that difficulty, actual. On one hand, i'm style of grateful that there is by no potential actual a fire while the hearth alarm is going of right here, yet on the different hand, the subsequent time it is going off at 2:30 a.m. and there is no longer a fire, i pass to be heavily tempted to purpose to locate the offending neighbour myself and take care of it.

every bedroom, hall and yes living room must have one, kitchen usually install a HEAT detector..
