I recently just bought a house that has a oil furnace. I have a hundred gallons of heating oil but do not know how long this would last. Does anyone have any ideas on where i can look or have some way to figure out this question.

My Pella Thermastar windows were just delivered from Lowes. We ordered Low E glass but there is nothing on the windows that says "Low-E". The guy at Lowes said if it has the EnergyStar sticker on the glass then it is low-E. Is that true? Are all Energystar windows made with low-E glass?

We have had an allotment for about 6 weeks and after killing all the weeds with Roundup i have dug it over. Almost as fast as i am digging millions of tiny new weeds are growing. I have planted some Japanese onion sets and winter broccoli but these too are being drowned out by the weeds. I can't keep up with the hoeing. Any suggestions about how to keep them under control would be greately appreciated?

With ref. to 'bleeding' the radiators, I remember someone saying to do it properly you have to do it in a particular order but can't remember if I was told nearest to the tank or furthest away from the tank first, which is it please. Also when I have bled one (which we have the problem with) all the air comes out, the radiator gets hot, but then only lasts about a day and is half cold again, will doing them in the right order cure this? I do understand that the pump has to be off before you start, is this correct?

I've tried sanding the top corner (where the problem is) and knocking the frame upwards with a hammer - no improvement...

My house was built in 1924. I love the windows but my gas bill is upwards of $800.00 a month! Anyone ever use those shrink plastic window covers? I have seen them on tv. Are they worth it? If not is there any other ideas? New windows for this house that look like the original are a CRAZY price! I would like an easy fix just for winter months if possible.

the dust seems to "stick" to the glass shelf. so when i dust i have to take everything off and get the glass cleaner and "wash" it down. I was wondering if anybody had any "tricks" to use so it wouldn't make dusting such a chore.

I have a radiant oil heating system that I beleive has air pockets. Some of the rooms are cold. I have been trying to bleed using past experience but this has always been a hit or miss. I am trying not have to call an expensive oil person.

I am not looking for a serving tray...just the tray handles. Preferably the type that mount to the bottom of the tray rather than to the side of a tray. Thanks in advance for your help. Bobito

I don't know much about gardening, so this might be a stupid question. Is it possible to grow tulips in a pot in an apartment, say in southern California? If so, are there any special things one should do to take care of them and ensure they keep blooming every year? Also, are there any well-known places from which I could order good tulip bulbs online?

Thanks in advance for your help.
