I am looking to sell small crafts for Christmas. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the word out on a very very small budget?

Craft fairs organized through churches and municipalities tend to have very reasonable table rental fees and the advertising is done by the organizers, so it would make your life easier. My municipality sends out a little booklet to all residents four times a year, and there is always at least 1/2 page of listings of local craft fairs, and our newspaper also has a page devoted to different activities in the different municipalities. The organizers also have flyers at the library, community center, and other locations too. Call your local city hall, library, and/or churches to see who has upcoming craft fairs planned and ask about table rental fees. At your table you can then have business cards and other promotional materials that you can obtain inexpensively (or even print yourself) so that you can build a following of craft-lovers who will buy from you again in the future. It is common for two table sizes to be available, so start thinking about how much table space you'll need, and you might want to purchase some cheap tabletop shelving units so that you can make the most of what space you will have. Good luck & happy crafting!

Check local Church's and community groups, they often have craft sales this time of year and welcome community participation, you just give them a small fee at the end of the day usually 10% of sales. You could also post signs around the neighborhood that say craft sale and provide a day and time, I would invite some friends to participate to offer a good variety. If they are very unique or jewelry try a consignment shop, they pay you when the items sell, confirm if it is 7 or 30 days and they keep a portion as commission between 10-35%. Good Luck!

Fliers do wonders. YOU can make them cheep and go to parking lots and put them on car windows. Hang them on bulletin boards.
