They may have outgrown their boxes. Over grown roots can cause a plant to appear dehydrated. Try replanting them in a larger box. Here are simple steps to follow in re-potting: http://www.plantea.com/repotting-houseplants.htm. Good Luck!

Hi, it sounds like your buxus has been scorched by the sun resulting in them drying out and going brown. They like semi-shade and not too windy conditions. When pruning try to prune on an overcast day in the summer to avoid the leaves from drying out. As your ones are already brown peer inside the plant to see if theres any green leaves or shoots if there is you can cut them down to the new shoots this must be done in late spring and then feed on a regular basis with a liquid feed like miracle grow this will help revive your buxus. If they are totally brown or almost white then I'm afraid there dead and you will have to buy some new ones or choose a more hardy shrub for the position. Hope this helps.

Usually if a plant is dehydrated you want to put it in a large container of water, hold it down until it stops bubbling, that means it has drank all the water it can, then sit it out where you usually have it and don't let it happen again. Good Luck.

Do you mean window cill = indoors or window ledge = outdoors? Box are not suitable for indoor cultivation. If outside they need root shade. Should you have roasted your Box trees, they are possibly dead. Put them somewhere sensible and wait until next year .They are slow growing and regrowth is not a rapid event.

I don´t buy them because they are so expensive, but you should check the soil to see whether it is due to over or underwatering. If it is dry water and add some fresh soil and cut back any dead branches. If they are all brown, no choice but to chuck them out and plant something esle that can withstand less watering.....
