Cast Iron Cleaning??

Question

I have a gas stove with cast iron range or grill(not exactly sure the correct term) Anyway, I used the stove to cook something and then accidentely set down the white plastic top to a piece of tupperware on it and now it melted onto the stove and I dont know how to clean it..please help!!

Let it cool down completely and just scrape off if you tried to scrape off when hot and it is very thin Still let it cool then it should just peel off.
